APSL 🤝 Michigan Premier Soccer League

The APSL is excited to announce a new promotion/relegation affiliation agreement with the Michigan Premier Soccer League.

As a cornerstone of Michigan’s amateur pyramid, the MPSL brings a rich history, with decades of high level amateur soccer that aligns perfectly with the APSL’s vision for the future of the game.

The MPSL will be the local affiliate the the APSL's Mitten Conference. 

Starting next season, top-performing MPSL clubs will have the chance to move up to the Mitten Conference, while the bottom-finishing APSL club will be relegated to the MPSL, with relegation playoffs a future possibility. 

Direct promotion for MPSL clubs to the APSL conference could begin as Summer 2026 prior to 2026-27.

This partnership marks a major step in strengthening the Midwest’s soccer ecosystem and advancing the APSL’s mission of open access, competitive integrity, and pyramid growth.

Applications are still open to join the APSL Mitten Conference as well as the MPSL in Spring 2026
